The junior goalie, already committed to play at UMass Amherst, was the Merrimack Valley Conference Division 1 Player of the Year and added All-American honors.

He made 295 saves this season (66.0 save percentage) while improving his three-year record as the Indians’ starting goalie to 56-12.

” D.J. can take a game over with his goaltending abilities,” says Billerica coach Craig Flynn. “He does everything well: clearing the ball, communicating with his teammates, quick hand-eye coordination saving the ball.”

Melaugh this season was again an All-Merrimack Valley Conference selection, tallying 57 goals and 34 assists, and also winning 118 ground balls.

The senior attackman wound up with 278 career points, tied for fifth on Billerica’s all-time list with Walter Cataldo. “Ben is a creative, crafty dodger who will find a way to put the ball in the net,” says Billerica coach Craig Flynn. “He has a tenacious ability to always find the ball (118 ground balls).”

Melaugh’s older brother Greg was the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year for Merrimack College. Melaugh is headed to Salem State.

Slatton, a senior attackman, was an All-Merrimack Valley Conference selection for the third straight season, this spring tallying 48 goals and 30 assists. He did that despite breaking an ankle a month before the season started and playing in pain much of the season.

“Cam never complained, and always gave 110 percent,” says Billerica coach Craig Flynn.

With 297 career points, Slatton is third on Billerica’s all-time scoring list behind Grant Whiteway and Greg Melaugh. Slatton was also an outstanding football player for the Indians. He is headed to Union College.
