Whiteway also passed out 5 assists to boost his incredible season totals to 101 goals and 55 assists for 156 points in 21 games.
BMHS, now 19-2 and seeded No. 4, had trouble shaking No. 20 Brookline (11-10), which trailed only 6-4 at the half before the winners shook the nerves and went on a 12-0 run over the final 24 minutes.
Ben Melaugh contributed 3 goals, 2 assists, while Cam Slatton added 2 goals, 3 assists, and solo markers were notched by Dylan Fernandes (assist), Ross Murphy, Ryan Nickerson, Andy Loranger and Mike Allen.
Justin Fritz and Andy Cunningham added assists, goalies DJ Smith (three quarters, 10 saves) and Dylan Svenson (1 quarter, 3 saves) were both sharp, and defensive standouts included Mike Curley, Sean Dougherty, Tom McLaughlin and Ian Abrahamson.
The Indians have a tough assignment on Wednesday when they host No. 5 Needham at 5 p.m. back at Calabrese Stadium. The Rockets are 19-2 overall and ousted Malden Catholic, 11-7, in their first game.
